1. Who we are

Stride (“Stride”, “we”, “us”) operates this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the website only. Data we process on behalf of clients during an engagement is covered by the services agreement with that client.

2. What we collect

Information you give us. When you book a call or contact us, we collect your name, email address, company name, and anything you choose to tell us about your business.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we collect standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time on page, referring URL, and approximate location derived from your IP address. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies described in section 5.

Information from third parties. If you book through our scheduling tool, that tool passes us the details you enter. We may also look up publicly available information about your company, such as your website and store platform, to prepare for a call.

3. Why we use it

• To respond to you and run the call you booked
• To prepare for that call by reviewing your public storefront and ads
• To send you follow-up about Stride's services, which you can stop at any time
• To understand how people use the site and improve it
• To measure the performance of our own advertising
• To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights

Our legal bases, where required, are your consent, our legitimate interest in running and promoting our business, and performance of a contract when you engage us.

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it with service providers who run parts of this site and our business for us: website hosting, scheduling, email, CRM, analytics and advertising platforms. Each is bound to use your information only to provide its service to us. We may also share information if the law requires it or to protect our rights, and with a buyer or successor if Stride is acquired.

5. Cookies and tracking

This site uses cookies and pixels for three purposes: keeping the site working, measuring how it's used (analytics), and measuring and improving our advertising (marketing pixels from advertising platforms). Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting analytics or marketing cookies and you can withdraw that consent at any time. You can also block cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may not work as intended.

6. Marketing emails

If you book a call or ask us to contact you, we may email you about Stride's services. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops marketing emails but not emails needed to run a call you've booked or an engagement you've signed.

7. How long we keep it

We keep contact details for as long as we have an active relationship with you and for up to three years after our last contact, unless the law requires longer. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (section 9).

8. International transfers

We operate from the United States and work with clients and service providers in the United States, the United Kingdom and elsewhere. Your information may be transferred to and processed in those countries. Where required, we use recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for those transfers.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent. Residents of the UK and EU have these rights under UK and EU data protection law. Residents of California have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; we don't sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@stride.com. We'll respond within the time the law requires. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Children

This site is for businesses and isn't directed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls at our service providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top tells you when it last changed. If a change is significant, we'll flag it on the site.
